AT LAST!!!

My "AT LAST" Excitement defines so many aspects of my lif
e at the moment!

The first item of excitement involves being off work until August...YAY!!! The students had their last day on June 1st, but I had to work until June 10th. Most of my days without students were consumed with cheer camp. The squad I have this year is AMAZING! They are teenage girls, so there is drama, but they all want to be good cheerleaders and it seems they are more willing to work toward that goal...time will tell! opportunity to learn how to use a computer program that principals and counselors use regularly. The assistant principal had me create student schedules for next year's juniors. As many of you know, I would like to become a counselor, so I am very excited to have ended 2008-2009 with that experience.

My second item of excitement includes my term as SAA president coming to an end. I am happy to be turning over my responsibilities, but sad at the same time. SAA socials are so much fun and they are the reason behind the friends I have created at TCOM, but I am going to miss the business side of the organization. I hope I can continue by helping the new officers throughout their year. I know Mike and Chesca helped me, so hopefully I can do the same. To those of you who read my blog and were part of the board, THANK YOU for everything this year!!! We faced many obstacles this year, but we got through them and had a great year!

Finally, I am EXCITED to announce there is ONLY one week of 3rd year left!!!! This has been the best year of medical school. It is also neat to see how much Travis and his classmates have learned. There was a time when I thought, "I will never trust him with my health!" but he has proved me wrong. I am sure many of you have noticed the same progression.

If anyone gets bored during the summer, just give me a call. I will be around to do whatever...that doesn't happen often!
